Family:Whitney, George B. (1838-1909)

George B.⁹ Whitney (Oscar F.⁸, Zerah⁷, James⁶, Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Oscar F.⁸ and Electa A. (Bryant) Whitney, was born 12 Nov 1838, Plainfield, MI, and died 9 May 1909, Romeo, MI. He was buried in Romeo Cemetery, Romeo, MI.^[1]

He married, 25 Aug 1860, Cathereen "Kate" Austin. She was born 22 July 1842, or 25 Aug 1844, Canada, and died 1904, Romeo, MI.^[2]

He resided Lakeville, MI.

He served in Company H, 2nd Michigan Cavalry, during the Civil War.
