He married, 2 Oct 1865, Emily E. Sweet. She was born 21 Sep 1845, VT.
He attended the local school and in 1852 went to California and 1855 was one of the first to honor the overland route. While in the west he was in the mines of 1861, and was afterwards sutler in army. He has lived in Brooklyn twelve years and is in the express business; resided 497 Green Ave., Brooklyn, NY.
