He married, 14 Jun 1817, Jonesboro, ME, Hannah (Libby) Colson, daughter of Joseph and Jane (Cole) Libby. She was born 8 Apr 1793, Harrington, ME, and died 8 Nov 1855, Jonesboro, ME. The name of her first husband ----- Colson is unknown. Gustavus and Hannah are buried in the Porter Whitney (Village) Cemetery in Jonesboro.
