Jessee7 Whitney (Jeremiah6, Hezekiah5, Hezekiah4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Jeremiah6 and Elizabeth (Underhill) Whitney, was born 29 Apr 1796, Cornwall, NY, and died 24 Aug 1876. He was buried in Greenvale Rural Cemetery, Fairport, NY.[1]
He married firstly, May 1819, Rochester, Ulster Co., NY, Eveline Simkins, daughter of Silas Simkins. She was born Pleasant Valley, Plattekill, NY, 9 Mar 1804, and died 22 Oct 1851, Fairport, Perinton, NY, of consumptions. She was buried in Greenvale Rural Cemetery, Fairport, NY.[2]
He married secondly, 19 May 1853, Palmyra, NY, Harriet (McKinstry) Simkins, daughter of Paul and Betsey (Pratt) McKinstry. She was born 5 Nov 1817, Phelps, NY, and died after 1873. She had married firstly, Jesse Simkins.
Phoenix says the following:
- Jessee Whitney, b. in Cornwall, N.Y., 29 Ap. 1796; a farmer; married in May 1819, at Rochester, Ulster Co., N.Y., by the pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Rochester, to Eveline Simkins, who was born at Pleasant Valley, in Plattekill, N.Y., 9 March 1804, dau. of Silas Simkins. He settled about two miles west of Pleasant Valley; and moved, in 1831, to Rosendale, N.Y., and thence, in April 1833, to Fairport, in Perinton, N.Y., where she died of consumption, 22 Oct. 1851, and was buried in the old cemetery near the Congregational Church in that village. He married (2nd), 19 May 1853, at Palmyra, N.Y., Harriet McKinstry, who was born in Phelps, N.Y., 5 Nov. 1817, dau. of Paul and Betsey (Pratt) McKinstry, and widow of Jesse Simkins. They were living at Fairport, in 1873.

Nelson Leonard Whitney, b. 21 Jul 1834, Fairport, NY; d. 1838, and was buried in the old cemetery, near the Congregational Church, in Fairport. viii. (son) Whitney, b. 21 Jul 1838, Fairport, NY; d. 1838, and was buried in the old cemetery, near the Congregational Church, in Fairport. ix. Mary Eveline Whitney, b. 3 Mar 1841, Fairport, NY; d. 6 Oct 1851, Fairport, NY, and was buried in the old cemetery, near the Congregational Church, in Fairport.
