John Thomas W.8 Whitney (Newhall7, Benjamin6, Solomon5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Newhall7 and Elizabeth (Whitehead) Whitney, was born 31 Aug 1822, Three Rivers, St. Maurice Co., QC, or Kingsey, QC, and died 4 Apr 1910, Soldiers' Home, Chelsea, MA, aged 87 years 8 months 1 day, of hemiplegia, cerebral hemorrhage, and heart disease.[1] He was buried in Northumberland Cemetery, Northumberland, NH.[2]

He married, 4 Jul 1845, Littleton, NH, Eliza A. Morse,[3] daughter of Ebenezer Webster and Mary Ann (Applebee) Morse. She was born 1 Jan 1828, Whitefield, NH, and died 8 Nov 1883, Groveton, NH. She was buried in Northumberland Cemetery, Northumberland, NH.[4]

He resided Groveton, NH.
