Jonathan6 Whitney (Elias5, Elias4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Elias5 and Lucy (Barnes) Whitney, was born 9 May 1781, Jaffrey (or Exeter), NH, and died 24 Jan 1864, Milford, MA, aged 82 years 8 months 15 days, of old age, farmer.[1]
He married firstly, 29 Sep 1806, Milford, MA, Lavina Coombs,[2] daughter of John and Mary (Perry) Coombs. She was born 3 Aug 1786, Bellingham, MA, and died 1 Jun 1843, Milford, MA, aged 57 years, of lung fever.[3]
Marriage intentions were published 6 Apr 1844, Milford, MA, for him and Maria Morse "of Sharon".[4] He "widower, of Milford" married secondly, 22 Apr 1844, Sharon, MA, "Mrs." Maria (Jordan) Morse,[5] daughter of Nathaniel and Hannah (Freeman) Jordan. She was born about Sep 1798, Dorchester, MA, and died 2 Jan 1881, Ashland, MA, aged 82 years 4 months, of lung fever.[6] She "of Dorchester" had married firstly, 22 Apr 1836, David Lewis Morse "of Roxbury", who died 29 Oct 1842, Sharon, MA, aged 38 years.
They resided near the old homestead. He resided Milford, MA.
