Family:Whitney, Jonathan (1811-1888)

Jonathan⁷ Whitney (Benjamin⁶, Jonathan⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Benjamin⁶ and Anna (Bangs) Whitney, was born 11 Apr 1811, Bridgton, ME, and died 21 Apr 1888, Harrison, ME, aged 77 years.^[1]

He "Mr." "of Bridgeton" married firstly, 29 Dec 1835, Sweden, ME, "Miss" Rebecca Flint "of Sweden".^[2]

He married secondly, 8 May 1839, Harrison, ME, Ednah (Walker) Howard,^[3] daughter of Charles and Sally (Barbour) Walker. She was born about 9 Nov 1810, Falmouth, ME, and died 3 Aug 1891, Harrison, ME, aged 80 years 8 months 25 days.^[4] She had married firstly, 15 Oct 1832, Elias Howard of Harrison, ME, drowned from a canal boat, near Mast Cove in Long Pond, October 20, 1834.

He resided in Harrison, ME, in the censuses of 1850 through 1880. He was a farmer.
