Joseph St. Clair⁸ Whitney (Levi St. Clair⁷, Hezekiah⁶, Hezekiah⁵, Hezekiah⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of Levi St. Clair⁷ and Clarissa (Jones) Whitney, was born 31 Jan 1838, Orange, NJ, and died after 1874.

He married, before 1860, Middle Settlement, near New Hartford, NY, Susan Russell. She was born about 1838 or 1841, NY, and died Oct 1871, Allentown, PA.

He was an accountant; business at 169 Reade Street, New York, NY.
