Leonard M.8 Whitney (Caleb7, Jonathan6, Caleb5, Jonathan4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Caleb7 and Abigail R. (Sargent) Whitney, was born about 20 Aug 1830, Sterling, MA, and died 12 Jan 1868, Clinton, MA, aged 37 years 4 months 22 days, of consumption.[1]

He married, 11 Jan 1854, Worcester, MA, or 7 Jan 1854, Sterling, MA, Elizabeth A. Monroe, daughter of Oliver and Caroline (-----) Monroe.[2] She was born about 1835, Boston, MA, or Northborough, MA. She married secondly, 6 May 1871, Fitchburg, MA, Amos P. Day, born about 1821, Shirley, MA, son of Amos and Lydia (Garfield) Day.[3]
