He married, 13 Nov 1859, Upton, MA, Violetta J. Gilman,[3] daughter Stephen and Jane (Crediford) Gilman. She was born 15 Jan 1834, Monmouth or Litchfield, ME, and died 26 Nov 1909, West Upton, MA, aged 75 years 10 months 11 days, of uremia.[4]
