Lewis E. Whitney (William, John), son of William and Mary (-----) Whitney, born circa 1849, Aberllunvey, Breconshire, Wales. and baptized 3 Mar 1850, St. Peter, Glasbury, Brecknockshire, Wales, and died after 1911.

In 1871, he resided in Bredbury, Cheshire, England where he worked as a railway clerk.

He married, 11 May 1873, Portwood, Cheshire, England, Eliza Skelton, daughter of James Skelton. She was born circa 1852, Hyde, Cheshire, England.

In 1881 & 1891, he worked as a railway guard. In 1901 he was a railway foreman.

iii. George Whitney, b. ca. 1878, Oldham, Lancashire, England. He m. bef. 1901, Mary A. (-----), b. ca. 1880, Oldham, Lancashire, England. Ch: Florence L., b. ca. 1900, Oldham. In 1901 he was a railway clerk.
iv. Florence Whitney, b. ca. 1885, Saddleworth, Yorkshire, England.
