Lydia⁵ Whitney (Jonathan⁴, Jonathan³, Benjamin², John¹), daughter of Jonathan⁴ and Lydia (Jones) Whitney, was born 18 Nov 1732, Mendon, MA,^[1] and died circa 1766.

She "of Mendon" married, 12 or 21 Dec 1754, Mendon, MA, Samuel Bowker "of Hopkinton",^[2] son of Edmund and Elizabeth (-----) Bowker, as his second wife. He was born 9 Apr 1731, Hopkinton, MA, and died 11 Oct 1799, Hopkinton, MA, aged "perhaps 70" years. He had married firstly, 5 Oct 1749, Hopkinton, MA, Martha Stone, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Wood) Stone. She was born 12 Nov 1726, Hopkinton, and died about 1753. He married thirdly, Lois (Hayden) Harrod, 3 Sep 1767, Framingham, MA, daughter of John and Lucy (Maynard) Hayden, widow of John Harrod. She was born 1 Mar 1732/3, Hopkinton, MA, and died 7 Nov 1805, Hopkinton, MA.

He was also known as Samuel Bouker.

Pierce says the following:^[3]

LYDIA [WHITNEY], b. Nov. 18, 1732; m. in Mendon, Dec. 12, 1754, Samuel BOWKER of Hopkinton, b. 1729; died 1799. He m. 3 times. Lydia was his second wife; res. Mil. Ch.: Asa, b. Nov. 12, 1755; Abigail, b. June 13, 1757; Abigail, b. Apr. 9, 1759; Abiathar, b. Feb. 25, 1763; Ruth, b. Feb. 9, 1765; Daniel, b. Feb. 16, 1769.

i.	Mary Bowker, b. 11 Oct 1750.
ii.	Martha Bowker, b. 8 Jul 1752.
