Morris Fought6 Whitney (Abijah5, Daniel4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Abijah5 and Elizabeth (Ellsworth) Whitney, was born 26 Oct 1796, Warwick, NY, and died 25 Apr 1872, Waterloo, IA. He was buried in Waterloo, IA.
He married firstly, 1818, "at the head of Long Pond", Rockland Co., NY, Bridget Jennings, daughter of Redman and Mary Elizabeth (Benjamin) Jennings. She was born 1798, Rockland Co., NY, and died in 1822.
He married secondly, 1824, Sloatsburg, Ramapo, NY, Keziah Jennings, daughter of Redman and Mary Elizabeth (Benjamin) Jennings. She was born 1796, Rockland Co., NY, and died 17 Jul 1842, Rochester, NY. She was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
He married thirdly, 1852, Akron, OH, Annice Nichols of Akron. She died in 1853.
Phoenix says the following:
- "Morris Fought Whitney, b. in Warwick, N. Y., 26 Oct. 1796; a woollen-manufacturer; married in 1818, at the head of Long Pond, in Rockland Co., N.Y., Bridget Jennings, who was born there in 1798, and died in 1822, dau. of Redman and Mary Elizabeth (Benjamin) Jennings. He married (2d), in 1824, at Sloatsburg, in Ramapo, N. Y., Keziah Jennings, who was born in 1796, a sister of his first wife. They moved from Orange Co., in 1830, to Rochester, N. Y.; where she died, 17 July 1842, and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery. He moved to Ohio in 1845, and married (3d), in 1852, at Akron, in that State, Annice Nichols, of Akron. They lived at Akron, Massilon, and Canton, Ohio. She died in 1853. He moved to Iowa in 1854, lived at Cherokee in 1871, died at Waterloo, 25 Ap. 1872, and was buried there."

Morris Whitney, b. 10 May 1828, Slate Hill, NY; d. 23 Oct 1856, Liverpool, England; a mariner; died in a hospital at Liverpool; unmarried. He worked for several years, as a book-binder, in the Bible House, New York, NY. vii. Sarah Whitney, b. 11 May 1831, Rochester, NY; d. after Apr 1875; m. 11 May 1854, Buffalo, NY, William Thompson; res. Aurora (now Elma), NY. viii. James M. Whitney, b. 28 Nov 1833, Rochester, NY; d. after 1910; m. 1863, Denver, CO, Margaret Pierce; res. Yankton, Dakota.
