Nathaniel Ruggles6 Whitney (Simon5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Simon5 and Mary (Ruggles) Whitney, was born 19 Mar 1759, Watertown, MA,[1] was baptized 25 Mar 1759, Watertown, MA,[2] and died 17 Dec 1833, Watertown, MA.
He married Abigail Frothingham, daughter of James and Abigail (Bradish) Frothingham. She was born 24 May 1760, was baptized 25 May 1760, Charlestown, MA, and died before 29 Oct 1833, Watertown, MA.
He was born in Watertown in 1759, and in early life was a teacher, afterward a trader and farmer. For several years he was justice of the peace, town clerk and selectman. During the Revolutionary war he was in the Watertown company commanded by Capt. Brooks. He resided Watertown, MA.
Nathaniel R. Whitney was town clerk, 23 Dec 1793.[3]
On 3 Apr 1814, Watertown, MA, Nathaniel Ruggles Whitney and wife were admitted to full communion.[4]
29 Oct 1833, Admin. on estate of Abigail Whitney, wid., of Watertown, granted to Nathaniel R. Whitney, oldest son, of Cambridge.
