He married, 21 Oct 1835, Clarence, NY, Betsey Porter, dau. of James and Phebe (Fairchild) Porter. She was born Aug 1819, Clarence, NY, and died after 1880.
He resided Rock Falls, IL.
Phoenix says the following:
- "Peter Isaac Whitney, b. at Danby, N. Y., 5 Oct 1810; agent for patent medicines; married at Clarence, N.Y., 20 Oct. 1835, Betsey Porter, who was born in Clarence, Aug. 1819, dau. of James and Phebe (Fairchild) Porter. He has lived at Clarence Hollow, and Williamsville, N.Y.; at Thornapple, Cascade, and Plainfield, Mich.; at Marion, Ill.; and dwelt at Rock Falls, Ill., in 1874."
