Family:Whitney, Reuben (c1810-a1880)
Reuben7 Whitney (Ebenezer6, Ephraim5, Zachariah4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Ebenezer6 and Sally (Pratt) Whitney, was born abut 1810, Susquehanna Co., PA, and died after 1880.
He married Elsie/Allie P. -----. She was born about 1813, NY, and died after 1880.
Children of Reuben7 and Elsie/Allie P. (-----) Whitney:
i. Emily8 Whitney, b. ca. 1836, PA. ii. M. E. Whitney (daughter), b. ca. 1850, PA; possibly the Mary Jackson of the 1870 census record below (if so, she may have married Benjamin Jackson). ii. B. S. Whitney (son), b. ca. 1853, PA; found only in the 1860 census.
Notes
The long gap in the births of the children would suggest that Elsie/Allie P. could be a second wife, or that the last two children were adopted.
