Reuben Perkins7 Whitney (David6, Nathan5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of David6 and Elizabeth (Barron) Whitney, was born 24 Jul 1804, Westminster, MA,[1] and died 24 Sep 1892, South Lancaster, MA, aged 88 years 2 months, of general debility.[2]
Married intentions were published 1827, Westminster, MA, for him and Clarissa C. Woodward "of Princeton".[3] He married firstly, 8 Mar 1827, Princeton, MA, Clarissa C. Woodward,[4] daughter of Jason and Mary (Clark) Woodward. She was born 29 Sep 1804, Princeton, MA, and died 28 Sep 1862, Princeton, MA, aged 57 years 11 months 29 days, of cancer of throat.[5]
He married secondly, 27 Apr 1865, Princeton, MA, or West Boylston, MA, Fidelia (Beaman) Pierce, daughter of Phineas and Phebe (Merriam) Beaman.[6] She was born 19 Apr 1807, Princeton, MA, and died 10 Mar 1866, West Boylston, MA, aged 58 years 11 months 9 days, of pneumonia.[7] She had married firstly, 23 Sep 1830, Sutton, MA, Jonathan Pierce.
He "R. P." married thirdly, 24 Dec 1867, West Boylston, MA, Nancy Thayer (Kingman) Thomas, both of West Boylston, daughter of Alpheus and Esther (Thayer) Kingman.[8] She was born 27 Feb 1815, Winchester, NH, and died 13 Feb 1869, West Boylston, MA, aged 53 years 11 months 11 days.[9] She "of Winchester, N.H." had married firstly (int. 3 May 1834, West Boylston, MA) William Thomas, born 12 Sep 1812, West Boylston, MA, and died 6 Sep 1861, West Boylston, MA.
He was born in Westminster, MA, the son of Deacon David. He resided in Princeton and West Boylston; carried on an extensive farm and conducted a large saw mill. Was respected by all who knew him, and died in South Lancaster nearly 90 years of age. E. H. Hinds, administrator of the estate of Fidelia B. Whitney, W. Boylston, died 10 Mar 1876, Husband, Reuben Whitney. Ch. of Fidelia; Charles I. Pierce, West Boylston; Delia M. Hardy, Worcester; Sarah J. Moore, Worcester; John M. Pierce, W. Boylston; Harlem B. Pierce, Worcester; appointed 3 Apr 1876. He resided Princeton, West Boylston, and South Lancaster, MA.
