Samuel7 Whitney (Samuel6, Samuel5, Abraham4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Samuel6 and Margaret (Swain) Whitney, was born 13 Apr 1811, North East Harbor, NS, and died after 1891.

He married, 24 Apr 1836, North East Harbor, NS, Lydia King, daughter of Isaac and Martha (Perry) King. She was born 10 Jul 1813, Duxbury, MA, and died after 1881. but before 1891.

Phoenix says the following:

"... a shoemaker .... They settled at North East Harbor, and in Jul 1872 moved to Canso, NS, where they were living in 1874."

iv. Samuel Whitney, b. ca. 1846, NS; d. 9 Apr 1868, North East Harbor, NS; unmarried.
