Samuel Lumber5 Whitney (Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Benjamin4 and Mercy (Hinckley) Whitney, was born 6 Feb 1774, Lisbon, ME,[1] and died 9 Oct 1846, Lisbon, ME.[2]

He married, 24 Dec 1801, Lisbon Falls, ME Lydia Curtis. She was born 30 Jan 1776, Lisbon, ME, and died 7 Dec 1848, Lisbon, ME.[3] Pierce lists her as Lydia "Curit."
