TheophilusB Whitney, parentage unknown, born say 1750, and was buried 23 May 1809, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire, Wales.[1]
He married, sometime before 1775, Rebecca -----.
According to family sources, he was from "the Parish of Vochrwid near Lugaden, Herefordshire". This may refer to Boughrood, Radnorshire, Wales, just over the border from Herefordshire.

She, residing in the abode "Panty Gelly" and listed as a single woman, had a son Theophilus Whitney bp. 19 Dec 1813, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire, Wales. iii. Walter Whitney, b. ca. 1780; m. Sarah Rosser. iv. Mary Whitney, bp. 1 Dec 1782, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire, Wales. v. Rebecca Whitney, bp. 26 Jun 1785, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire, Wales. vi. William Whitney, bp. 21 Sep 1788, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire, Wales.
