William⁸ Whitney (Jessee⁷, Jeremiah⁶, Hezekiah⁵, Hezekiah⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of Jessee⁷ and Eveline (Simkins) Whitney, was born 15 Oct 1820, Plattekill, NY, and died after Jan 1875.

He married, 24 Jan 1844, Perinton, NY, Jane Nichols, daughter of Elijah and Mary (Filkins) Nichols. She was born 6 Oct 1822, Nassau, NY, and died after Jan 1875.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a farmer . . . . They settled at Perinton, 3 Ap. 1844; moved, 5 Ap. 1869, to Arcadia, N.Y., about three and a half miles south from the railway-station at Newark; and were living there in Jan. 1875."

ii.	Estelle Maria Whitney, b. 12 Ju 1862, Perinton, NY; and was living with her parents, at Arcadia, NY, in Jan 1875.
