Family:Whitney, William (c1790-1853)
William Whitney, parentage unknown (but see Notes below), was born about 1790, MA, and died 6 Jun 1853, aged 62 years. He was buried in Churchill Cemetery, Sheffield, MA.[1]
Marriage intentions were published 17 Oct 1819, Sheffield, MA, for him "of Salisbury, Ct." and Rebecca Sparks.[2] He married, 2 Nov 1819, Mount Washington, MA, Rebecca Sparks, daughter of Lemuel and Sarah (Parmenter) Sparks. She was born between 1800 and 1804 (age 16-26 in 1820, 20-29 in 1830), or about 1795 (per gravestone), and died 7 Nov 1850, Salisbury, CT, aged 55 years. She was buried in Churchill Cemetery, Sheffield, MA.[3]
In 1840 he had many probably-unrelated men living in his household.
