William Benjamin8 Whitney (William Knowlton7, John Smith6, Thomas5, Thomas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of William Knowlton7 and Deborah (Woodward) Whitney, was born 17 May 1817, Dana or Petersham, MA, and died 27 Aug 1891,[1] Athol, MA, aged 74 year 10 days, of apoplexy.[2]
Marriage intentions were published 12 Jul 1841, Dana, MA, for him "of Petersham" and Lorinda M. Clements.[3] He married, 12 Jul 1841, Petersham, MA, Marilla Lorinda Clement,[4] daughter of Josiah C. and Mahala (Worden) Clement. She was born about 5 Jun 1821, Dana, MA, and died 21 Feb 1897, aged 75 years 8 months 16 days, Athol, MA, of Bright's disease.[5]
