Family:Whitney, William G. J. (c1821-1854)
William G. J.7 Whitney (Ephraim7, Salmon6, Jonas5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Ephraim7 and Mary Ann (Bird) Whitney, was born about 1821 [per 1850 census] or Dec 1827 [per age at death] [no record found in MR VRs], and died 18 Aug 1854, Boston, MA, aged 26 years 8 months, of congestion of the brain.[1]
He married, before 1850 [no record found in MR VRs], Ocean A. Spear, daughter of William and Ocean (-----) Spear. She was born about 1819, MA [no record found in MR VRs], and died 3 Dec 1873, Boston, MA, aged 54 years, of scrofulous abcesses and diarrhea.[2] She married secondly, between 1855 and 1859, Walter H.7 Whitney, q.v. Walter and William were only very distantly related.

i. Mary Ellen8 Whitney, b. ca. 1854, Boston, MA [no record found in MA VRs]; m. 31 May 1882, Milwaukee, WI, Elmer Edward Millard.
