Ammi Whitney (Lemuel) son of Lemuel and Anna (Woods) Whitney, was born 1 Jun 1817, Athol, MA,[1] and died 21 Mar 1904, Orange, MA, aged 87 years 9 months 21 days, of apoplexy.[2]

He married firstly, 24 Apr 1844, Brattleboro, VT, Gracia Ann Warner, daughter of Jonathan Warner.[3] She was born about Jan 1821, Londonderry, Vt., and died 3 Jul 1889, Orange, MA, aged 68 years 6 months, of phthisis.[4]

He married secondly, 25 Dec 1889, Orange, MA, Martha Jane (Battle)(Warrick) Boutelle, daughter of John and Sally (Warrick) Battle.[5] She was born about 12 Jul 1823, Orange, MA, and died 18 July 1908, Athol, MA, aged 85 years 0 months 6 days, of age and general debility.[6] She had married firstly, 20 Aug 1845, Orange, MA, Rhodalphus D. Warrick. She had married secondly, 31 Mar 1858, Athol, MA, Samuel A. Boutell.

Children of Ammi and Gracia Ann (Warner) Whitney, if any, unknown.

Ammi and Martha J. (Battles)(Warrick)(Boutelle) Whitney had no children.

Adopted son of Ammi Whitney:

i. (adopted) George Perry Whitney alias George Perry Woods, son of Gardner and Persis (-----) Wood, b. 24 Dec 1848, Orange, MA;[7] d. 2 Jan 1874, Orange, MA.[8]
