Andrew D.7 Whitney (Samuel L.6, Jacob5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Samuel L.6 and Delinda S. (Howard) Whitney, was born 25 Feb 1833, Phillips, ME, and died 12 Aug 1929, Ashland, OR.

He married firstly, said 28 Sep 1865 [sic], Dalton, WI, Miranda Bates. If she was the same as "Julia" of the 1860 census, then she was born about 1833, ME. She died 2 Feb 1867, Wyosena, WI.

He married secondly, 16 Dec 1867, Tomah, WI, Lucy Elizabeth Robinson. She was born about 1844, MO, and died 1921 or 1924, probably at Mayer, AZ.

He served in the late war in Company K, 30th Regiment, Wisconsin Volunteers. He was mustered in as a private, and out as a sergeant.[1]

He resided Tomah, WI, in 1874; Mayer, AZ; and Ashland, OR.

i. Juliette8 Whitney, b. 11 May 1857, WI; d. after 1929; m.(1) 13 Jul 1878, Sauk Co., WI, Charles B. Farnham; m.(2) ----- Colan; resided Ashland, OR.
ii. Edwin Whitney, b. 8 Jan 1859; living in 1898.
