Calvin Crocker7 Whitney (Ebenezer6, Stephen5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Ebenezer6 and Sarah P.8 (Whitney) Whitney, was born 22 Feb 1839, Bridgton, ME, or 30 Jan 1840, Bangor, ME, and died 30 Sep 1896 or 1897, Bridgton, ME. He was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Bridgton, ME.[1]

He married, 3 Sep 1861, Sarah Elizabeth Blake, of Gorham, daughter of Ithiel and Esther Stuart (Files) Blake. She was born 3 Sep 1841, Gorham, ME, and died 7 Feb or 7 Dec 1907, Bridgton, ME. She was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Bridgton, ME.[2]

Calvin C. Whitney was a carriage painter of high professional ability. He worked many years in the great carriage factories of Charles P. Kimball in Portland, ME, and in Chicago, IL. He also worked in the great Pullman Car Shops in Pullman, IL.

iii. Margie Isadore Whitney, b. 3 Apr 1864; d. ca. 1934; m. 29 Jun 1889, Willis Marriner of Bridgton. Children:
a. Ernest Cummings Marriner, b. 16 Oct 1891; student in Bridgton High School, college preparatory year.
b. Frederick Whitney Marriner, b. 5 Feb 1896.
c. Evelyn Louise Marriner, b. 2 Feb 1905.
iv. Fred Ernest Whitney, b. 11 Aug 1867, Gorham, ME; m. Emily A. Brackett.
v. James Cummings Sloan Whitney, b. 19 Sep 1869, Portland, ME; d. ca. 1939; m. Georgia B. McGee of Bridgton; was grocer in Bridgton for years; now of the firm of Whitney & Hobson, in trucking business in Portland. Children:
a. Clarence Eastman11 Whitney, b. 5 Mar 1897; d. 6 May 1906.
b. Margaret Edith Whitney, b. 10 Nov 1906.
vi. Lillian Whitney, b. 19 Aug 1871, ME; d. ca. 1962; m. -- Nov 1901, Willis Elwin Crosby of Bridgton. Children:
a. Mary Lela Crosby, b. 20 Aug 1903.

vii. Maude Esther Whitney, b. 19 Nov 1873, ME; d. ca. 1943; m. Edwin Rae Hill, of Cumberland, ME.
