Franklin9 Whitney (Joseph H.8, Joseph7, Nathaniel6, Nathaniel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Joseph H.8 and Sarah (Ingraham) Whitney, was born 7 Jan 1845, Grafton, MA,[1] and died 10 Mar 1869, Worcester, MA, aged 24 years 2 months, of wounds received in the Army.[2]

He married, 26 Nov 1868, Grafton, MA, Aurilla Estella Putnam,[3] daughter of Samuel W. and Aurilla (Thayer) Putnam. She was born 28 Mar 1850, Grafton, MA, and died between 1920 and 1930. She married secondly, his brother, Sidney, q.v.

Franklin9 and Aurilla Estella (Putnam) Whitney had no children.
