Gorham Horatio Babson8 Whitney (Levi7, Reuben6, Abel5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Levi7 and Mary (Hutchings) Whitney, was born 1 Jun 1845, Richmond, ME, and died 22 Oct 1888 [per Pierce], or 23 Oct 1888, Boston, MA, aged 48 years, of fracture of base of skull from a fall (accidental).[1]

He married, 5 Jan 1869, Bowdoinham, ME, Henrietta Rogers. She was born 18 Nov 1847, Georgetown, ME, and died after 1886.

He was a carpenter and builder. He resided 6 Marcella St., Boston, MA, in 1876 at 32 Vale St., in 1881 and 1883, at 35 Codman Pk., and in 1888 at 41 Elmore St. He was also a soldier, and a veteran of the Civil War. He was a Private, serving in Co. H, 12th Maine Infantry. His widow received a pension for his service.
