Herbert Prescott⁹ Whitney (Julius J.⁸, Jonas Prescott⁷, Josiah⁶, Josiah⁵, David⁴, Benjamin³, John², John¹), son of Julius J.⁸ and Harriett A. (Downe) Whitney, was born 10 Aug 1865, Fitchburg, MA,^[1] and died after 1906.

He married, 27 Apr 1887, Boston, MA [recorded at Fitchburg, MA], Jennie M. Tainter, dau. of Albert and Delia (-----) Tainter.^[2] She was born about 1868, Fitchburg, MA.
