Isaac Francis7 Whitney (Isaac Lounsbury6, Elias5, Jeremiah4, Nathan3, John2, Henry1), son of Isaac Lounsbury6 and Mary Ann (Stackhouse) Whitney, was born 17 Feb 1837, 94 Suffolk Street, New York, NY, and died after 1900.

He married, 29 Jun 1865, Rochester, NY, Minnie Etta Lunger. She was born 28 Jul 1844, Tompkins Co., NY, and died after 1900.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a metal-moulder . . . . They dwelt at Corry, Penn., in 1869; and at Fort Scott, Kansas, in Oct. 1874. He enlisted in Co. B, 9th Reg., N. Y. Volunteers, known as "Hawkins' Zouaves"; served the full term of enlistment, two years; reenlisted in Co. H, 14th Reg., Heavy Artillery, N.Y. Volunteers, serving as infantry; and participated in the capture of Richmond and the surrender of Lee, having passed through the war without an injury of any kind."

i. Minnie Etta8 Whitney, b. 21 Feb 1871, Fort Scott, KS.


Apparently Minnie Etta was adopted, according to the 1880 census record below.
