John Harrison⁸ Whitney (David White⁷, Abiezer Holbrook⁶, Nathan⁵, Benjamin⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of David White⁷ and Philena L. (Church) Whitney, was born 16 Sep 1842, and died after 1900.

He married, 15 Jan 1874, Augusta, ME, Emma L. Severance.^[1] She may have been the daughter of Nathaniel and Belinda (-----) Severance, of Newport, ME. She was born Jul 1841, and died after 1900.

They resided Augusta, ME.

John Harrison⁸ and Emma L. (Severance) Whitney had no children.
