Jonas Prescott7 Whitney (Josiah6, Josiah5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Josiah6 and Mary (Barrett) Whitney, was born 22 Sep 1793, Waltham, MA,[1] was baptized the same day, and died 18 Aug 1879.

He married firstly, 22 Feb 1815, Ashby, MA, Rebecca Piper.[2] She was born 15 May 1797, and died 18 Jun 1838, Ashby, MA.[3]

He "of Ashby" married secondly, 29 Aug 1839, Leominster, MA, Louisa Wheeler.[4] She was born 14 Apr 1804, and died 1 Jun 1864.

He moved to Ashby, 1799.
