He was probably the Joseph Whitney who married, 20 Oct 1821, Bowdoinham, ME, "Miss" (?Anateas/Ann?) Whitmore, "both of Bowdoinham",[2] daughter of William J. and Sarah (Austin) Whitmore. She was born 21 Jul 1796, Bath, ME.
