Joseph C. Whitney

Dr. Joseph Clement7 Whitney (Benjamin Morse6, Micah5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Benjamin Morse6 and Susan (Wells) Whitney, was born 26 Feb 1838, Phillips, ME,[1] and died 26 Aug 1914, Somerville, ME.

Marriage intentions were published, 20 Jan 1864, Freedom, ME, for him and Zubia E. Keen, "both of Freedom".[2] He married Zubietta E. Keen, daughter of Thomas S. Keen. She was born 14 Aug 1846, Freedom, Waldo Co., ME, and died 5 Feb 1934, Manchester, NH.

Joseph and Zubietta are both buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom, ME.[3]

George C. Whitney appears in the family as a 13 year old in 1880. However, he does not appear in the family in 1870. He may be adopted.

i. Joseph Osborn8 Whitney, b. Dec 1866, ME; m. ca. 1895, Ethel G. Monroe, b. Jul 1872, ME; resided Embden and Unity, ME.
