Josiah Williams7 Whitney (Samuel6, Samuel5, Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Samuel6 and Lucinda (Chapman) Whitney, was born 2 Apr 1826, Ashford, CT,[1] and died 1913. He was buried in Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam, CT.[2]

He married, 11 Jul 1847, Eastford, CT, Clarissa Weeks,[3] daughter of Amos and Maria Clarissa (Wilson) Weeks. She was born about 1828, CT, and died 12 Dec 1872, aged 42 years. She was buried in Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam, CT.[4]

He married secondly, 25 Jun 1879, Ashford, CT, Lucetta P. (Badger) Weeks, daughter of Chester E. and Lucy (Hall) Badger. She was born 6 Jul 1825, Ashford, T, and died 15 Oct 1909, Putnam, CT. She was buried in Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam, CT.[5] She had married firstly, 11 Dec 1842, Ashford, CT, Frank Weeks. By 1900 she had had twelve children, of whom ten were living.

iii. Juliette Whitney, b. ca. 1854, Putnam, CT; d. 19 Apr 1897, Holden, MA, aged 43 years 2 months 8 days, of pulmonary consumption;[8] m. 11 Jun 1882, North Brookfield, MA, Benjamin W. Farmer, b. ca. 1842, son of Benjamin G. and Mary (-----) Farmer.[9]
iv. Albert F. Whitney, b. Jan 1858, CT; m. Alice M. Weeks.
v. Phoebe A. Whitney, b. ca. Oct 1861, CT; d. 13 Sep 1872, aged 10 years 11 months; bur. Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam, CT.[10]

Josiah Williams7 and Lucetta P. (Badger)(Weeks) Whitney had no children.
