Stephen Velasco10 Whitney (Joseph Winchester9, Stephen8, Moses7, Samuel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Joseph Winchester9 and Lucia (Halladay) Whitney, was born 10 Jul 1849, and died between 1880 and 1900.

He married, 25 Feb 1875, Brattleboro, VT, Lucy Adelaide (Carey) Fessenden, daughter of Luther and Laura (Barnes) Carey.[1] She was born about 1853, NY, and died after 1900.

He was a soap maker.

i. Arthur L.11 Whitney, b. ca. 1871, Wardsboro, VT; d. 16 Dec 1896, Springfield, MA, aged 26 years, of burns;[2] m. 15 Oct 1895, Springfield, MA, Rachel Vanderpool, b. ca. 1871, New York, NY, dau. of Frederick B. and Julia (Owens) Vanderpool.[3]
ii. Anna Belle Whitney, b. 9 Apr 1876, Greenfield, MA;[4] "Bell" d. 12 Aug 1877, Deerfield, MA, aged 1 year 3 months 5 days, of cholera infantum.[5]
