Thomas Whitney of Cusup, Gent., parentage unknown, but brother of Eustace ("Istance") Whitney, Walter ("Watkin") Whitney and John Whitney. He died after the date of his will, 16 Oct 1558, Cusop, Herefordshire.

He married Annest verch Thomas, name difficult to decipher in her husband's will.

He lived in Cusop, Herefordshire, England.

"Thomas Witney" was listed on the 1539 muster roll for Cusop, Herefordshire, as an archer, supplying a bow & sheaf of arrows. He was listed as "Thomas John Whitney" on the 1542 muster roll or Cusop, Herefordshire, as a billman.

Hugh Welshe by his attorney against Thomas Whytney of Kewwhope gentilman in a plea that he pay 60s owed and unjustly detainedl and against John Taylour of Hay, yeoman, and John ap John of Kewsshope for 60s; and against Alice Cole of Old Radnor widow & Richard Howell alias Rees Howell of Old Radnor yoman to pay 60s.
