Wilbur⁸ Whitney (James⁷, Abel⁶, Elijah⁵, Elijah⁴, Isaiah³, Thomas², John¹), son of James⁷ and Jerusha H. (Smith) Whitney, was born about 1843, VT, and died after 1880.

He married, 31 Dec 1868, Monkton, VT, Augusta F. "Gertie" Stilson, daughter of Hiram/Hyrenius/Hiremus and Hattie (Labore) Stilson. She was born 28 Jul 1850, Monkton, VT, and died 23 May 1938, New Haven, VT.
