He married firstly, 18 May 1859, Palmyra, MI, Elizabeth Philena Fairbank, daughter of Lowell and Achsah Philena (Dow) Fairbank. She was born 16 Apr 1842, Hillsboro, IL and died 1919, San Diego, CA.

He married secondly, after 1919, San Diego, CA, Mary Ellen Fairbank, daughter of Lowell and Achsah Philena (Dow) Fairbank, and sister his first wife. She was born 8 Nov 1848, Delaware Co., OH, and died 1936, probably San Diego, CA.

He is a music publisher. He answered his circular, 9 Dec 1894, from Farfieling, India. At that time he was in the heart of the great Himalaya mountains; resided Toledo, OH, and San Diego, CA.
