William Woodward7 Whitney (Abraham6, Abraham5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Abraham6 and Ann (Conant) Whitney, was born 14 May 1825, Lisbon Falls, ME,[1] and died 13 May 1906, Salem, MA, aged 81 years 1 month 27 days, of chronic nephritis and endocarditis.[2]

He married, 11 Nov 1849, Salem, MA, Susan W. Mack.[3] She was born about Jan 1828, NH, and died after 1900.

ii. Mary Luella Whitney, b. ca. 1853, Salem, MA; m. 31 May 1877, Salem, MA, John Murphy, Jr., son of John and Angeline (Hatch) Murphy, b. ca. 1852, Round Pond, ME.[6]
iii. Lucelia H. Whitney, "Lucretia" b. 6 Jun 1854 (twin), Salem, MA;[7] "Lucilla H." d. 23 Aug 1855, Salem, MA, aged 1 year 3 months, of diarrhea.[8]
iv. Lucy Ella D. Whitney, b. 6 Jun 1854 (twin), Salem, MA;[9] d. 12 Aug 1855, Salem, MA, aged 1 year 2 months, of diarrhea.[10]
