The Third Son
Robert, third son of Sir Robert and Sybil (Baskerville) Whitney, received a small annuity in the will of his father in 1565.
His brother, Sir James Whitney died without children in 1587. James's will mentions a brother, uncles, cousins, and other Whitney relatives not readily identified. It does NOT mention his brother Robert or any children or possible children of his.
The implication is that Robert had died between those dates without leaving any children.
