- "I took a sabatical away from genealogy for a year and haven't been researching at all. Why, you ask? Well ... I did spent 12 years working very hard at it ... and I needed a rest. Besides, I'm still very gainfully employed -and- my husband and I do so much work-related travel that so-called "free" time is spent doing things together. (He's not interested in studying "dead people", as he puts it!)"
- "Although I am still interested in my family tree, my Whitneys are basically done. So any future work will probably concern my mother's Goldsmith surname - on which I have been stuck in the mid 1700s for a long time."
