Reuben6 Whitney (Joel5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Joel5 and Mary (Weston) Whitney, was born 7 Jan 1772, Chandler's River, ME, died 31 Mar 1810, Jonesboro, ME.
He married, 1 Nov 1801, Jonesboro, ME, or 10 Jul 1801, Machias, ME, Hannah Stetson, daughter of Gideon and Eliza (Perry) Stetson. She was born 25 Mar 1776, and died 14 Dec 1816, Jonesboro, ME.
On 13 Oct 1810, Ephraim Whitney was appointed administrator of his estate.
Both Reuben and Hannah are buried in the Porter Whitney (Village) Cemetery in Jonesboro, ME.

Huldah Ann Dorman Wakefield, daughter of Benjamin and Mary "Polly" (Dorman) Wakefield of Steuben, ME, b. 3 Apr 1819, Steuben, ME, d. 14 Apr 1849, Steuben, ME. They had two children: a. Wakefield8 Whitney, b. ca. 1838, ME. b. Hannah Longfellow Whitney, b. 1845; d. 1888; m. 17 Mar 1872, Jonesboro, ME, Charles Whitney Feeney.
iii. Hannah Whitney, b. 10 Jan 1805, Chandler's River (Jonesboro), ME; m. (int. 18 Mar 1825, Jonesboro, ME), David Longfellow, son of Jacob and Taphenas (Longfellow) Longfellow, b. 1 Jun 1800. iv. Joshua Whitney, b. 16 Dec 1806, Chandler's River (Jonesboro), ME; d. 27 Jun 1889, Machias, ME; m. Sylvina Parsons Hall, b. 2 Feb 1812, Jonesboro, ME, d. 13 Mar 1868, Jonesboro, ME. v. Amanda Whitney, b. 25 Nov 1808, Chandler's River (Jonesboro), ME; d. 26 Dec 1819, Jonesboro, ME. She was buried in the Porter Whitney (Village) Cemetery, Jonesboro, ME. vi. Mary Weston Whitney, b. 13 Dec 1810 (posthumously), Jonesboro, ME; m. Samuel Lambe of Calais, ME.
