William H.8 Whitney (William7, William6, Abner5, John4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of William7 and Anna (Hancock) Whitney, was born 3 Apr 1822, Standish, ME, and died 12 Dec 1912, Rangeley, ME, or possibly before 1880 (see Notes below).
He married, 21 Aug 1849, Hannah Douglass. She was born 26 Sep 1827, Sebago, ME, and died 12 Dec 1912, Gorham, ME, aged 85 years 2 months 16 days. She is buried in Sebago, ME.
Her gravestone reads: HANNAH D WHITNEY | Wife of | William Whitney | Sept 21, 1827 | Dec 12, 1912.
