William Foster8 Whitney (William7, Peter6, Aaron5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of William7 and Zilpah (Eager) Whitney, was born 17 Aug 1820, Northborough, MA,[1] and died 20 Oct 1888, Quincy, MA, aged 68 years 2 months, of pneumonia.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 7 Jan 1846, Quincy, MA, for him and Abigail Briesler, "both of Quincy."[3] He married, 3 Feb 1846, Quincy, MA, Abigail Briesler, daughter of John and Sarah (Copeland) Briesler.[4] She was baptized 19 Dec 1824, Quincy, MA, and died after 1880.

They lived in Brooklyn, NY, where he died and his family still reside.[5]
