Hiram9 Whitney (Hiram8, John Rodman7, William6, Thomas5, William4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Hiram8 and Charlotte (Appleby) Whitney, was born 1 Sep 1835, PA, and died 15 Aug 1899, Bradford Co., PA.
He married, before 1870, Electa A. -----. She was born about 1849, PA, and died after 1880.
He married probably secondly, Towanda, PA, Hannah Shay.
He married probably thirdly, Effie Shay or Effa M. Wolfe. She was born Feb 1855, PA, and died after 1900.
The last two marriages are according to Whitney and Weeks (see below). The census records give him the first marriage.
