Jotham⁷ Whitney (Lemuel⁶, Lemuel⁵, Lemuel⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Lemuel⁶ and Dorcas (Gates) Whitney, was born 22 Aug 1797, Grafton, VT,^[1] was baptized 1 Apr 1798, Stow, MA,^[2] and died 17 Jun 1872, Monkton, VT.

He married firstly, Sep 1836, St. George, VT, Sally Smith. She was born about 1807, and died 30 Mar 1850, Hinesburg, VT.^[3]

He "of Hinesburg, VT" married secondly, 22 Jun 1858, Hinesburg, VT, Mary (Pendleton) Page, daughter of Joseph Pendleton.^[4] She was born 1811, Middlebury, VT.

This appears to be Jotham, not Joseph, Whitney, not Whiting. Mary's age should probably be 58, not 28.
