Jonas7 Whitney (Benjamin6, Jonas5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Benjamin6 and Nancy (Fuller) Whitney, was born 4 Jul 1805, Marlborough, NH,[1] and died 21 Mar 1869, Hematite, MO.

He married, Dec 1835, Charlotte Forman, of Ithaca, NY. She was born 12 Dec 1815 Ithaca, NY, and died 16 Oct 1900, St. Louis, MO.

He was graduated at Dartmouth College in 1833, after which he spent some time in various places in New York state, then settled in Missouri. He resided Hematite, MO.

Notes

The last three children are given by Pierce, and not confirmed independently. It does seem very likely that there were more than just the first six children listed above, based on gaps in their birth dates. One daughter born 1835-1840 is confirmed by the 1840 census. Probably all such additional children died young.
