Family:Whitney, Henry O. (1845-a1910)

Henry O.⁸ Whitney (Hollis B.⁷, Isaac ⁶, Isaac⁵, Lemuel⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Hollis B.⁷ and Elsina A. (Towle) Whitney, was born 12 Nov 1845, Canaan, NH, and died 13 Dec 1910, Canaan, NH.^[1]

He married firstly, 8 Jul 1871, Alton, NH, Susan E. Ames,^[2] daughter of Thompson and Naomi (Flanders) Ames.^[3] She was born 20 Sep 1846, Gilford, NH, and died 15 Aug 1888, Canaan, NH.^[4] Apparently they were divorced.

He married secondly, about 1882, Ellen M. (Butman) Whitney, daughter of Frank and Susan Taylor (Colby) Butman. She was born 25 Nov 1849, Canaan, NH, and died 24 May 1914, Enfield, NH. Apparently they were divorced. She had married firstly, 26 Nov 1868, Canaan, NH, James Monroe Whitney.

He possibly married thirdly, 1 Dec 1900, Canaan, NH, Isabelle Moulton,^[5] but no additional records supporting this union have been found.

Children of Henry O.⁸ and Susan E. (Ames) Whitney, possibly incomplete:

i.	(daughter)9 Whitney, b. 20 Apr 1880, Canaan, NH;[6] apparently died young.
ii.	(daughter) Whitney, b. 11 Jan 1881, Canaan, NH;[7] apparently died young.
